Our mission is to post news about all which is .. actually, on second thought, we don't have a mission. Just like many other sites on the Internet, we just post dumb shit. Enjoy!

Upgraded to drupal7 and social networks

We've upgraded from drupal 6 to 7. It wasn't 100% clear, but wasn't hard to get fixed up. We've also added Facebook, Google+, and LinkedIn buttons to most content on the site. Not that there is anything worth sharing...

2009 wrap up and 2010 look ahead

Well, it’s a new year.  And with it I promise to try to post more stuff.  But no promises that it will be anything important.  Hmm.

Test post from Windows Live Writer

You can ignore this post, piggies, since it’s just a test of posting via the blog API that Drupal provides.  If this works out, maybe I’ll start posting more crappy content more often.  Or maybe I won’t.

pigfucker.net merch still selling well & site updated

The Bacon is Meat Candy merch (B&W t-shirts, color t-shirts, sweaters, mugs, and bumper stickers) are still selling quite well. I'm often amazed at how many have been sold. The sales come in spurts instead of as a constant flow. Feel free to drop us a line if you've bought one! But don't be fooled, all of the other designs, no matter how cool they may be, are copies of my original shirt – if the page doesn’t say pigfucker, it isn’t the real deal. Copying is flattery and all of that nonsense.

Drupal is live & upgraded

Last night / way too early this morning I finished putting the Drupal version of the site in to production and upgraded it to the latest released version. Hooray!

Modules and blocks seem to be easy enough to create

I've just finished making the first revision of two modules for Drupal. The first one is to display a random Amazon.com item image and link to it on the Amazon.com site. The second is to display an Alexia stats box. Both were quite easy to make following a tutorial on the Drupal website and then making the required changes for my own content.

half way done with conversion from php-nuke 8.1 to drupal 6.9

It looks like I might be about half way done with conversion from php-nuke 8.1 to drupal 6.9. The initial conversion wasn't so bad either.

Fuck off, PHP-Nuke. Hello, Drupal.

We've been using PHP-Nuke for a long, long time. For years I've been meaning to move away from it due to countless security issues, poor code, and slow development of it. It's been a decent ride, though. I've easily created several modules and blocks, but as time has gone on, the obviousness of needing to change to something else has become increasingly apparent.

Pigfucker merch in the wild

For quite a while now we've had some lame merch available for purchase. Here's some of it seen out in the wild. Ven image=inthewild/ven-large.jpg Ven runs Ven's News, which features news about the Lords of Acid and Praga Khan (both of whom he does webmaster stuff for as well as occasionally goes on tour with them), and the Children of Acid site. If you are at all interesting in the Lords of Acid ro Praga Khan, then you need to check those sites out.
