One thing these nutjobs probably haven't realized is that by buying the books, they've put money into the hands of the people they despise. That kind of oversight takes real talent.. Granted, some of those will have probably been confiscated from their kids, but a lot will have been bought recently only for the purpose of being burned.

Now, I haven't read any of these books, and I don't really plan to, but I have been told by a number of people that they are a good read for kids and adults alike. I did enjoy most of the first movie (waited until it was out on DVD and got it nearly for free).

Perhaps next month when The Two Towers is released to theatres I'll see them both as a matinee one morning...
